The Gearbox is the “Heart” of the Triple Screw Extruder. The characteristics of our gearbox are high torsion, low noise, less breakdown and durability.
Forming the heart of the machine, the gearbox is key to its overall plasticizing performance. Our gearboxes are structurally optimized and comprise three transmission shafts of maximum strength, delivering exceptional output power from a very compact unit. Their patented design guarantees a high fatigue resistance and long service life. Each component is processed and manufactured to very high quality standards. Precision machining and high-grade bearings are employed to support our exact specifications. At the assembly and testing stages, extensive quality monitoring of a broad range of parameters is conducted to ensure full compliance with all design requirements. Its lubrication system is another highlight of our gearbox: with its point-to-point oil supply and point-to-point automatic control, even the smallest lubrication anomaly is effectively prevented or raise an alarm.
The gearbox has four selectable mounting positions according to application needs. Changing the gearbox orientation to any one of the four positions in accordance with process and material requirements can be done by the user, i.e., the unit does not have to be returned to the KMD factory.
